Title: Project Manager, Management

Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects related to the implementation of Revenue Cycle Software Solutions.
? Provides a single point of contact for the project and the overall responsibility for project completion.
? Ensures that the various elements of the project are properly coordinated. The elements include project plan development/execution and integrated change control.
? Ensures that the project plan and schedule includes all the work required to complete the project successfully. The work includes project initiation; scope definition/planning/verification/change control.
? Ensures timely completion of the project. Timely completion requires task definition/sequencing/duration estimating; schedule development and control.
? Ensures that the project is completed within the approved budget. Cost management consists of resource planning; cost estimating/budgeting/control.
? Ensures that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken (quality management). This consists of quality planning/assurance/control.
? Makes the most effective use of the people involved with the project, to include team and individual team member development.
? Ensures timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination of project information. It consists of communication planning, information distribution, performance reporting and administrative closure.
? Identifies, analyzes and responds to project risks. Risk management includes risk management planning/identification/response planning/monitoring /control.
? Must possess strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem solving skills.
? Requires an understanding of both formal and informal structures of all organizations involved in the project to include the performing organization, customer and stakeholders.Position Description

Responsible for managing people responsible for a systems project involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a computer based system through the design process and into a finished state for internal or external customers. Oversees and coordinates all aspects of project and serves as manager for project team who are the liaison between project management, line management and other departments. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical and non-technical matters. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assigns and monitors systems analysis and program staff, providing technical and non-technical support and direction. This position may be in a matrix type of organization, where the position does not have responsibility over product development but does have overall product/program/project management responsibility.Minimum Requirements

1. Project Integration Management
a. Project Plan Development ? integrate and coordinate all project plans to create a consistent, coherent document.
b. Project Plan Execution ? carrying out the project plan by performing the activities outlined in the plan.
c. Integrated Change Control ? coordinating changes across the entire project.

2. Project Scope Management
a. Scope Planning ? develop a written scope statement as the basis for future project decisions.
b. Scope Verification ? formalize acceptance of the project scope.
c. Scope Change Control ? control changes to the project scope.

3. Project Time Management
a. Activity Definition ? identify specific activities that must be performed to produce the project deliverables.
b. Activity Sequencing ? identify and documenting interactive dependencies.
c. Activity Duration Estimating ? estimate the time length needed to complete the individual activities.
d. Schedule Development ? analyze the activity sequences, activity durations, and the resources requirements to create the project schedule.
e. Schedule Control ? control the changes to the project schedule.

4. Project Cost Management
a. Resource Planning ? determine what resources (people, equipment, materials) and the quantities of each that are necessary to perform project activities.

5. Project Quality Management
a. Quality Planning ? identify the quality standards which are relevant to the project and determine how to satisfy them
b. Quality Assurance ? evaluate overall project performance on a regular basis to provide confidence that the project will satisfy the relevant quality standards.
c. Quality Control ? monitor specifics project results to determine quality compliance and to rectify non-compliance.

6. Project Human Resource Management

a. Organization Planning ? identify, document and assign project roles, responsibilities, and reporting relationships.
b. Staff Assignment ? get the human resources needed assigned to and working on the project. Provides direction and guidance to project team members.
c. Team Development ? develop individual and group competencies to enhance individual and project performance. Provides regular feedback to team members for the purpose of improving performance and effectiveness.
d. Conducts semi-annual performance reviews of team members.



7. Project Communications Management

a. Communications Planning ? determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders: who needs what information, when they will need it, and how it will be given to them.
b. Information Distribution ? make needed information available to project stakeholders in a timely manner. Leads effective project management team meetings.
c. Performance Reporting ? collect and disseminate performance information to include status reporting, progress measurement and forecasting, issue identification and escalation.
d. Administrative Closure ? generate, gather, and disseminate information to formalize a phase or project completion.

8. Project Issue/Risk Management

a. Risk Management Identification ? determine which risks might affect the project and document their characteristics.
b. Risk Response Planning ? develop a risk mitigation plan to enhance opportunities and reduce threats to the project.
c. Risk Monitoring and Control ? monitor risks, identify new risks, execute risk reduction plans and evaluate their effectiveness throughout the project.
d. Issue Management and Escalation ? manage and escalate issues appropriately. Drives issues to resolution in timely manner. Uses appropriate issue recording and resolution tracking tool ? PointinSight.Additional Knowledge & Skills
