Finally, our Flash Lite, FlashCast, and Flash Player products, as well as our impressive wins in the world of mobile data with the likes of NTT DoCoMo and KDDI have created a powerful platform for mobile solutions.

We are expanding our consulting team in North America, and seeking a Project Manager in the Chicago area.

This Project Manager will work directly with our customers to define solutions suited to the customer?s unique business needs, using the Adobe engagement platform. Working at multiple levels with the customer and their SI partners, you will propose a solution, assess feasibility, specify requirements, define integration points, and determine resource requirements. You will scope statements of work with tasks, deliverables, milestones, and resources, all the time coordinating with the core and field engineering teams as needed. You will provide hands-on support throughout the deployment phase. You will ensure successful customer deployment.

Responsibilities:

? Proactively research customer needs and exercise appropriate creativity in recommending new solutions, based on the Adobe engagement platform to fulfill those needs.

? Clearly understand and document customer requirements and integration points.

? Work closely with the design and engineering teams throughout the US, UK and Japan to communicate specific requirements, assess feasibility, and define work plan.

? Support project estimation process with key contributors to help define scope and prepare statements of work, including tasks, deliverables, milestones, resources, and estimated costs.

? Manage all day-to-day administrative activities of a given project from inception to closure.

? Maintain regular communication with both the customer and internal teams, and constantly manage customer expectations.

? Achieve customer satisfaction through successful deployments of new solutions.

? Compile customer requests and deployment issues, to provide a feedback channel into our core products.

? Work with third-party subcontractors and technology partners as required.

? Act as the central point of contact throughout the life of the project, capture and communicate experiences in formal post-mortem, feeding lessons learned, best practices and resources back into the consulting practice.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

? At least five years? experience as a project manager, preferably delivering large enterprise-based web application or document management solutions.

? Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline.

? Innovative thinker.

? High attention to detail, and thoroughness.

? Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve them quickly and well, and know when to rely on internal resources to assist.

? Strong conflict resolution skills.

? Professional demeanor, ability to interact with and lead diverse teams throughout Adobe and communicate with client project managers, directors, and CXOs.Superb organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated projects.

? Exceptional team building and team management skills, with proven experience managing virtual teams.

? Prior experience with the launch and operation of a highly available, high traffic internet or mobile service.

? Proven technical ability to understand the impact of technical changes, and to articulate high level technical solutions to address business problems.

? Solid Understanding of custom software development processes.

? Background in development with Hands-on programming experience.

? Familiarity with the following languages and technologies: C, C++, HTML, XML, Java, J2EE, Flex, Flash, LiveCycle.

? Solid understanding of one of the following: business document management processes, enterprise web applications, rich internet applications, or the mobile market and mobile technologies.

? Willingness to travel.

 

Ideal

? PMI Certification and demonstrated rigor in project management best practices.

? Experience with creating proposals in response to RFPs and/or RFIs.

? Prior experience engineering custom software solutions.

? Prior experience in traditional business consulting.
