Proof of Concept (POC) Support Lead

Titan has a challenging opportunity for a Project Lead for RFID support team. This exciting position supports a major system development program for a large government agency. The goal of the task is to enhance the initial operating capability provided at land ports of entry as implemented, through the issuance of a unique identifier that is capable of being read automatically, passively, and remotely during subsequent exit and reentry by US-VISIT enrolled travelers. The task order also plans to improve identification for all US-VISIT eligible aliens, including commercial, pedestrian, and vehicular traffic, by providing the capability to read the unique identifier issued at enrollment in US-VISIT and displaying information to enable inspectors to make appropriate decisions concerning the admissibility of the applicant.


The POC (Proof of Concept) Support Lead provides leadership and direction for all Operational activities supporting the Proof of Concept as well as SDLC efforts. The POC Support Lead will serve as the liaison to several organizations including Government personnel, the Hosting Center team and involved DHS/Contractor personnel, and the Managed Service Provider. In addition, the POC Support Lead will participate in several cross Task Order working groups supporting the long term goals of SBA.


Responsibilities include:
Leads design of the Execution, Development, and Operations architecture for a business application and other supporting software and hardware consistent with the program requirements
Manages the build of all environments, as well as the installation and configuration of components and tools.
Leads planning and managing implementation of changes to and/or modifications of a business application and other supporting software and hardware in the production environment.
Leads team to maintain availability, capacity and service continuity to agreed upon service levels across the software, hardware and network components of a business application.
Develops new approaches, processes and system enhancements which contribute to business growth/efficiency of a business application.
Leads team to measure and meet requirements for the end user for a business application.
Interfaces with client points of contact for business application to report business application service performance metrics.
Leads team to manage the structure, resources, policies, standards, practices, and procedures for resolving issues related to a business application in the production environment.
Provide timely updates to team status to the leadership team
Teamwork
Lead a teams composed of Data Acquisition Team (5 FTEs), System Administration Team (4 FTEs), and Application Maintenance Team (4 FTEs)
Demonstrate leadership skills to supervise other operational team members
Demonstrable capability when working in a team environment to assist other team members to produce deliverables in compliance with standard procedures


Experience in the following:
Large Computer Systems Operations (within a data center)
Help Desk Support
Managed Service Providers
Implementing Enhancements to Computer Systems (hardware/software)
Software Methodology (SDLC)
Technical Project Management Skills


Candidate must also have:
Experience with Application Maintenance, Operations, Development, and Execution Architectures.
Experience with CMMi and the software/product development lifecycle. Knowledge of ERP, CRM COTS packages (SAP, Oracle), Application Servers (Oracle, BEA, IBM), Custom development (J2EE, .NET).
Familiarity with the following products: Sun Solaris, Sun Hardware, Symantec (Veritas) software, J2EE standards, Oracle 10g suite, Windows XP, Dell hardware, BMC software, Quest Software, Acsis Datalink software.
