Job Summary

The successful candidate will thrive in a small high-energy team, should have a passion for driving code quality on an aggressive release cycle, take ownership of new problems, and be able to think through and solve complex issues.  The candidate should be a flexible, highly independent worker as well as an excellent team player, and able to work efficiently under schedule deadlines and with the product team's passion for quality and delivery. This position reports to the VP of Software Development.

 

Primary Responsibilities

? Maintains and enhances the QA methodologies supporting Skylist?s products

? Manages the development and execution of all black-box testing

? Manages, schedules and coordinates all QA activities

? Manages and coaches a 5 person team of QA Engineers to accomplish new feature testing, regression testing, and testing of extensions to new and existing software

? Promotes, designs and implements detailed documentation and automated testing for repeatable quality test cycles

? Maintains and enhances testing laboratory configurations, ensuring that the maximum quality effort is applied to the production of all Skylist?s products

? Provides overall team management, including assistance with recruiting, hiring and retaining top-notch QA engineers

 

Requirements

? BSCS or equivalent industry experience

? 5+ years of QA or software development experience

? 2+ years experience leading a team of QA testers/engineers

? Experience with QA Wizard or other testing automation software

? Excellent track record of delivering quality projects within budget and on schedule

? Strong knowledge of and experience with software development cycles, data communication, and network products, including experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, and web applications

? Experience is required with testing automation tools, WEB development and implementation, and network test automation development
