Our DIRECT CLIENT has an immediate need for the following position: QA Tester w/SQL for a 6+ mo contract assignment in Baltimore, MD.

 

Job Description: 

The candidate is a self-motivated Quality Assurance Professional who will be part of a team supporting the testing effort for web-based and data warehouse development projects. The candidate would be creating and executing manual test cases and automating regression test cases.

 

Responsibilities:


? Review and analyze Requirements and Specifications for very complex systems.
? Create Test Cases, Test Data, Test Result preparation and defect tracking.
? Design test cases with thorough understanding of system-internals for white box type testing.
? Flexibility to work on different tasks on request in a fast-paced environment and co-ordinates well with development team, Requirements Team & Users if needed.
? Design and develop SQL queries for Oracle database to validate data transformations at various levels.
? Flexibility to work on multiple tasks on request and co-ordinate well with development team, Requirements Team & Users if needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

At Least 4 years IT with at least 4 yr. of web-based application testing experience to include interface testing having some experience in a Java environment.


? Exceptional SQL programming experience to write complex queries for data conversion analysis preferrably in Oracle
? Should have strong coordination skills, analytical and problem
solving skills and have an extreme attention to detail.
? Very good knowledge of fundamental concepts like OS, Data Base, Protocols, etc.
? Good understanding of Internet based technologies (i.e., one or more of JAVA/J2EE, HTML/ DHTML/JavaScript/ASP/Perl, web servers, HTTP Protocol, TCP/IP, DNS, CDN, routing, etc.)
? Linux
? Good understanding of the Image formats (i.e., GIF, JPEG etc.., Rich Media) and media delivery over internet.
? Expertise in Black Box and White Box Testing is must.
? Proficient in the use of automated tools used to support testing (e.g. test management, automated testing, defect tracking, etc.)
? Experienced in short duration / iterative testing in incremental project delivery model.
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
