QA Technician/Customer Service Specialist

Job Title: QA Engineer/Customer Service Specialist
Job Location: Boise, Idaho

Job Summary:
Perform quality assurance testing, regression testing, and failure analysis for company products; perform troubleshooting tasks for escalated customer support issues; assist with systems administration tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Design and implement regression test suite and methods.
? Report and monitor all bugs found in testing.
? Maintain and update all test equipment, systems, images and suites.
? Research new technologies and report on their potential impact regarding company products.
? Develop troubleshooting processes for typical customer issues to be used by front-line support staff.
? Troubleshoot escalated customer support issues.
? Perform supervised network and systems administration tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Excellent and practical knowledge of current PC hardware and Microsoft Windows systems.
? Knowledge of modern software test procedures.
? Demonstrated ability to find, regress and track defects and other bugs.
? Ability to communicate well with co-workers and customers.
? Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
? Effectively troubleshoot problems with customers.
? Ability to identify and troubleshoot elusive problems.
? Preferred: Practical experience and knowledge in multimedia and graphics technologies.

Credentials and Experience:
? 2+ years in a test-engineering and/or escalated customer support role.
? Associates degree in related field
? Combination of education and work history that meets the above requirements.
? Preferred: Continuing education in related fields.
