QChat Integration Test Engineer

Role Participating as a member of the QChat Integration Test team. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for the integration of the QChat Client, QChat Server and third party components. Candidate will work very closely with the development and test teams to ensure successful integration of the QChat components. Candidate will be responsible for writing integration test plans, test cases, test reports as well as execution of the test plans and troubleshooting/problem resolution of the QChat System.

Skills/Experience
3 to 5 years experience in product validation/integration and experience with-testing wireless devices and networks. Interface/Protocol testing experience a plus

Superior understanding of software testing and practices including automated testing.

Experience with digital cellular protocols - IS-95 or CDMA 2000 1x required, CDMA 2000 EV-DO experience preferred.

Experience with Voice over IP, PTT, SIP protocols.

Experience with data networking, TCP/IP.

Scripting knowledge in Shell, Perl, TK/TCL.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

LINUX/UNIX system administration, operating system installation, software installation, network configuration, performance monitoring and troubleshooting a plus.

Additional Skills
This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
