Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and help lead the testing efforts for our Internet based healthcare information products. Under the direction of the VP of Development, you will help design quality assurance processes, develop test cases and plans, assist in software release control, and perform software and system testing. The position will also assist management in planning, resource allocation, project estimation, and scheduling for various QA projects and initiatives.

You will work closely with Product Development, Product Management, IT, Client Services and key business stakeholders through the entire product life-cycle to ensure applications meet the quality standards of CodeCorrect. You will review specifications, design and implementing test plans, and work with development and product management to resolve product issues. You will have the opportunity to contribute on a wide variety of initiatives, and you will play an active role within a dynamic software development team. Candidates must have superior people skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for maximizing the productivity of our staff and the quality of our web products. In addition, the QA Engineer must be detail focused, well-organized, able to manage multiple projects, and have an excellent customer service ethic.  You will provide: user interface testing, SQL data assurance, and load/performance testing.  This individual must also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints and have the ability to articulate progress, issues, and risks to team members and management.

Job Requirements

-  High School Diploma and some college coursework

-  At least 3 - 5 years of experience in software and web-based QA using a variety of tools and techniques.

-  Experience with SQL and with internet technologies (IIS, ColdFusion, HTML, etc.) is a must.

-  Thorough understanding of testing techniques and practices as applied to database driven web applications.

-  Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and employees as all levels.

-  Knowledge of standard QA processes and procedures, methodologies, and product development life cycles.

-  Experience developing test scripts for online applications.

-  Experience developing test cases from business requirements and sponsor interviews.

-  Ability to work independently and coordinate efforts in a fast paced environment.


Preferred

 

-  BS or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field.

-  Experience with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.

-  Experience with load and stress testing.

-  Experience creating and executing complicated product test plans.- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology.
