Evaluate and test new or modified software programs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?  Plan, schedule, coordinate, and implement testing projects.

?  Maintain and update test databases.

?  Work with product development to develop test scenarios and test cases based on methodology being utilized, (use cases, supplementary specifications, or narratives).

?  Evaluate and test software programs, including test case design and execution of alpha, beta, functional, iteration, regression, and performance tests.

?  Track overall test coverage for application.

?  Log any issues/defects encountered during test cycles and conduct fix verification.

?  Identify, create and maintain automated Functional and GUI based tests.

?  Update and install new releases of testing tools used by the QA group and keep aware of new developments.Write and distribute reports to describe program evaluation problems found, corrections needed, and problem areas.Work with and understand distribution and Version Control mechanisms.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

?  Organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks/assignments/projects.

?  Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

?  Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 At least 5 years related work experience.Post-secondary degree, certificate, or equivalent experience.Excellent problem solving skills.

?  Ability to accomplish tasks and solve problems that are somewhat complex.Ability to communicate with a range of audiences, from programmers to individuals with a technical background.Intermediate knowledge of version control and distribution issues and processes.Ability to write reports and business correspondence.Microsoft Office skills.Experience with Segue Silk or other testing tools is a plus but not required

?  Ability to perform duties with general supervision.

?  Travel: international, one trip/year to India
