Quality Assurance Specialist II

Description: The Quality Assurance Specialist II works under minimal direction from the QA Director and is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and communicating defects in software.
This individual also facilitates the removal of defects with software development teams.



Duties:

The communications skills required to report negative information and maintain a positive relationship with development and other organizations
The ability to take ownership of all Quality Assurance aspects of a development project
Trains team members on documentation of processes and scenarios
Document in test repository test scenarios and processes
Create Internal Release Notes
Tracks and monitors problems reported and resolutions
Facilitates the verification of defect resolutions through phases of the software development life cycle
Updates and trains team on the knowledge base of code related problems and fixes
Communicate test defect status to all involved per defined process
The ability to create manual test scripts and identify defects
Strong team member that works well with multiple departments
Other duties as assigned by QA Director or designee
