Quality Assurance Supervisor

The QA Supervisor will participate in all software testing activities including test plan creation, test cases, test summaries, black box, white box, back end testing, risk analysis and working within teams of project managers, developers, other QA and other IT and internal customers.
This position will also help mentor, coach and train QA members. This person will have direct reports and participate in quarterly reviews, hiring, coaching and goal setting for the direct reports.
This person should have an excellent personality when working with other people and be a motivator to others.

Requirements:

Experience in managing and/or leading small software QA teams

Experience in coaching, mentoring and training software quality analysts

Knowledge of QA Best Practices and implementation

Experience working closely with other teams within IT such as development, PMs, development

Able to give testing timelines, scope and risks with high accuracy and commitment

Strong desire to teach, train and help others

Excellent verbal and written skills

Strong team player

Expert knowledge in creation of test plans, test cases, test summaries, risk analysis and scope analysis

4+ years in software testing multi-tier applications

Strong SQL skills

Outgoing personality

Able to work easily under stressful situations

3+ years lead/manager experience

4 year degree

Strong knowledge of backend testing and database verification

UNIX, Perl, SQL
