SAN Engineer

Our financial client has an immediate need to bring in a SAN Engineer for their work location in Tempe, Minneapolis or Des Moines.  The initial contract duration is 4 months, but this is a long-term need which could potentially lead to a conversion to a direct employee.  The other important note is that this is a 2nd shift position with some weekend work (which would be regular day hours).  Training will occur on 1st shift (for a couple of months) and then gradually go into 2nd shift.  The position is responsible for storage provisioning/new storage.  There will be some support/production support and some maintenance. 

 

DESIRED SKILLS: 

1.  True Copy, Universal Replicatoris PREFERRED

 

2.  SAN - SAN replication skills.  Should understand Hitachi replication products or competitor replication products from HP, etc.

 

3.  OSRS.  NAS replication - Net Appliance Products:  Storage, Net Apps and how much experience.  Data On Tap 7.0.  Experience with Snap Mirror, Snap Vault and Open Systems Snap Vault.

 

4.  Virtual Tape architecture.  Falcon Store 

 

Provisioning -

1)  Hitachi Storage (Lightning or USP)

2)  IBM Storage (Fast T, Shark, or DS8300)

3)  Familiar with ESS Specialist, DSCLI, Storage Navigator, DMP

4)  Mcdata 6140, EFCM
