Job Title: QA Analyst (SAP/MM Reporting) #59478

Location: San Rafael, CA

Position Summary This person assures the quality of our SAP enterprise application and integrated processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and execution of both black-box and gray-box software testing. The QA Analyst is responsible for both manual testing and automated testing. Other responsibilities also include early involvement with the development teams to review the functional and technical requirements to determine the testing strategy. The job holder will be expected to demonstrate detailed knowledge of software testing techniques, and the role of QA during the complete development life-cycle.

Responsibilities Assure the quality and successful launch of our enterprise applications and associated systems. Responsible for assuring quality software releases by planning, documenting, maintaining, and executing black-box and gray-box manual and automated testing of Autodesk enterprise applications. Responsible for testing complex integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP),data conversion and data cleansing efforts and various back-end Oracle and Business Objects database applications. Responsible for testing software applications that support software sales enterprise business processes. Develop and/or refine high-level test strategies in collaboration with other Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team members, Project Managers and Developers. Engage in exploratory testing, as an auxiliary means of finding defects in our web/enterprise systems. Participate in project reviews and inspections. Enter software defect reports, and report on overall software stability at project team meetings. Maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving quality testing techniques.

Requirements At least 8 years experience in a structured QA environment testing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with at least five years SAP testing experience, including SAP implementations. (SD/MM/FI Modules) Businesses application processing experience in the areas of (ERP). Additional knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and data warehouse software application systems a bonus. Experience in various business processes including Purchasing, Inventory Control, Sales, Distribution, and Accounting. Must include experience with business process configuration and testing of SAP Sales and Distribution Module. At least 3 years experience with automated testing tools and techniques, preference given to Mercury Interactive automated testing tools, specifically Winrunner and Quicktest for SAP/R3. Experience utilizing database query software (SQL) against Oracle databases. Must have a strong understanding of Project Management, Software Development, Quality Assurance methodologies, and software quality metrics. Experience utilizing Mercury Test Director for test planning, execution, reporting and Project Administration. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, with good presentation and negotiation skills. Strong analytical skill, able to transform business requirements into test strategies, test plans, test scenarios and test scripts. Broad understanding of the QA process and software development life cycle.

Desired Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of software quality metrics. Able to work remotely with minimal supervision. Attention to detail, with good presentation and negotiation skills. Skill with exploratory testing, structured approach necessary. Experience with load/stress testing for Internet/Intranet applications.
