SAP Senior ABAP Programmer Analyst - Paramount Pictures

The Opportunity:

Paramount Pictures? Information Technology division has an immediate opening for a SAP R/3 ABAP SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST for our SAP Development team. You will work as a senior member of a fast-paced team managing and supporting  the Paramount SAP ERP solution. The SAP team members regularly communicate and coordinate with many layers of management and support personnel throughout Paramount Pictures domestic and International offices.

 

The SAP team is a close knit and highly collaborative team of professionals.  You will be provided the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge beyond ABAP programming with exposure to diverse aspects of SAP, such as  Workflow, Archiving, BW, etc..  Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills are critical to excelling in this customer-driven role.  You must be capable of working independently under broad management direction as well as part of a diversified team.

 

Responsibilities:

As the SAP R/3 ABAP Programmer Analyst you will be responsible for:All tasks involved in coordinating and performing as a lead programmer analyst in the implementation, support and development of the SAP system.  You will use your successful analytical and problems solving skills and hands-on programming experience in one of our most critical and visible departments. For the SAP R/3 & BW systems of the SAP project, you will be responsible for strategizing, designing, management and execution of the conversion, interface and ABAP development activities. This will include determining modification requirements; participation in technical design; and development of ABAP and other programs.  You will utilize your hands-on knowledge and skills to develop and execute test plans; support the integration and system testing; and resolve programmatic issues.

 

Requirements:

To qualify for this high profile position, you will need:Approximately 5+ years of experience in development and systems support and administrationMinimum of 2 years SAP R/3 ABAP/4 experience (Version 4.6+). SAP ABAP expertise should include Workbench, function modules, reports, DYNPRO?s, IDOCs, user exits, Workflow and Data Dictionary. Background in data conversion and interface development will be put to good use.  Experience working with information systems pertaining to inventory, sales & distribution, and financials within a commercial or media environment.A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Additional desirable skills might include:  3rd party development tools (Java, Visual Studio), SAP ABAP certification, EAI and EDI experience.

Other information:

Paramount?s hours are 9:00 AM ? 6:00 PM. The position may require longer hours depending on the workload; however, it is not a ?cultural mandate? that employees work excessive hours! You will work on site at the Hollywood studio lot; no travel is involved.
