SAS Developer

Manpower IT is looking for a Senior SAS Programmer for a direct placement opportunity. This position is with a financial company located in RTP. Responsibilities
+SAS programming involving model development and data manipulation
+Address ad-hoc user requests and create reports on demand
+Manage the SAS infrastructure, configuration, user profile administration and implement fine-tuning techniques.
+Leverage knowledge of quantitative finance/risk management technology to communicate effectively with SAS user base
+Comfort and experience handling large volumes of data (>300 Gigs)
+Ensure best practices are followed and provide guidance and training to research team
+Trouble-shoot performance issues relating to code and hardware environment
+Ability to work independently & in a team environment
+Provide documentation at both a business and technical level
+Maintaining key stakeholder relationships

Requirements
+10 years experience programming for SAS platform including:
-SAS/BASE
-SAS/STAT
-SAS/MACRO
-SAS/SQL
-SAS/Graph
-SAS v8,v9
-SAS Enterprise Guide
+Solid understanding of SQL server (NT) and Sybase (Unix) database platforms (5 years minimum)

Desirable
+Business Objects/OLAP tools
+SAS BI experience
+Report creation tools (i.e. Crystal Reports)
+.Net/VB.net/C# experience
