SAS Programmer/Analyst

The responsibilities related to this position include the design, development, implementation, and enhancement of monthly reporting for a large portfolio.  The reporting system uses SAS, Unix, and Hyperion Essbase to manage and disseminate information to executive management and their staff for decision support.

 





Must Have Skill sets and yrs of experience:

SAS (3 yrs+), Unix AIX (2 yrs+) If you understand PC SAS, this should be fine in place of Unix.



Understanding data warehousing concepts, and translating the data via business intelligence into the proper tool for reporting for the end user is a must. You must be able to utilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business systems to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. You will provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. The selected candidate must have the technical knowledge and capabilities to work both as a team member and as an individual contributor. They must be able to conduct research into data problems and work with users to understand and define their requirements.



The candidate should have strong analytical, problem solving, time management, organizational skills, and proven communication skills. Candidates should have a degree, preferably with a major in Business, Finance or Computer Science.A comparable level of experience may substitute.



 

Nice To Have skill sets and experience:

Hyperion Essbase (1+ year), SQL, IBMs UDB, Maestro (Job Scheduler), MS Visual Basic, and Arcplan Dynasight. Experience in various Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access) is a plus.

 

Banking experience a plus.
