SENIOR .NET PROGRAMMER ANALYST -Paramount Pictures
The Opportunity:
Paramount Pictures has a NEW opening for a Senior .NET PROGRAMMER ANALYST in our Home Entertainment Information Technology department working primarily with .NET technology, delivering highly scalable solutions. The Sr. Programmer Analyst will assist International and Domestic Home Entertainment business clients with new development, problem analysis, resolution, and general support for the Home Entertainment systems.
In this role, the Sr. Programmer Analyst will be exposed to a variety of different development projects and frequently interface with other departments throughout the Home Entertainment business & IT community
As a primary .NET developer on the team, this position will serve as a mentor to less experienced developers and be responsible for ensuring quality development standards are documented and adhered to by all team members.
The Sr. Programmer Analyst may be called on to assist with enhancements and support of existing applications varying in design and architecture including .NET development, Visual Basic, and Access
Responsibilities:
v Manage and perform activities relative to new .NET development in support of existing and future web development projects for Paramount Home Entertainment.
v Contribute to the architectural vision of future .NET development projects
v Ensure service levels are met - providing problem evaluation, resolution, incident closure and reporting
v Restore functionality, field questions or requests for advice, and assure resolution and/or recovery occurs in a timely and effective manner.
v Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting of production issues ? utilizing VB and Access, SQL/Sybase.
v Provide issue trend tracking and analysis and make recommendations for improvement.
v Utilize query tools to analyze and reconcile data and to produce ad hoc reports.
v Provide management reporting to all levels of staff and senior management.
v Perform quality assurance reviews of program code.
Requirements:
v Mid to senior level developer with 2-5 years of solid professional work experience designing and developing enterprise .NET and Visual Basic applications, with a focus on .NET. (Note: Examples and source code of a VB.NET or ASP.NET application the candidate has built may be requested during interview.)
v 2-3 years professional experience with SQL Server and Transact-SQL
v Strength in relational databases modeling is required, including stored procedures, triggers, etc.
v Ability to work with non-technical staff across multiple business departments (Marketing, Creative, Production, Sales, Operations).
v Experience in Web services, Windows Forms, PAG Enterprise Library and WinFX experience a plus
v Strong organizational skills and ability to work on many different projects simultaneously
v Excellent verbal and written communication skills
v Home Entertainment experience ideal, consumer packaged goods industry knowledge at a minimum
v Excellent production support troubleshooting skills
v Ability to write technical specifications, program, test, and manage the transition of modifications through the quality assurance and change control process.
v General understanding of Sales Forecasting, Planning, Operations, & Marketing processes a plus, yet not required
v A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is required

Other information;
Paramount?s hours are 9:00 AM ? 6:00 PM. The position may require longer hours depending on the workload; however, it is not a ?cultural mandate? that employees work excessive hours! Rotational on call may be required. You will work on site at the Hollywood studio lot; no travel is involved.
