SOFTWARE DEVELOPER – SPEECH RECOGNITION

ASI offers a comprehensive range of speech recognition enabled simulation systems for governments, universities and civilian air traffic control agencies worldwide, and produces speech recognition applications for operational command and control systems such as the F35 Joint Strike Fighter.

 

Responsibilities:

? Provide software and database design, development and support for Speech Recognition Applications;

? Supervision of Orlando software development team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Programs and U.S. Engineering.

 Requirements:

? Minimum of  7 years of experience in software development;

? Bachelor?s degree in software engineering or computer science;

? Strong working knowledge of C++ (min. 3 years);

? Strong working knowledge of Object-Oriented programming / Design Pattern (min. 2 years);

? Software development of speech recognition applications;

? Ability to communicate effectively with customers;

? Must be able to obtain a security clearance;

? Occasional domestic and international travel required.

 

Additionally, the following skills/experiences are preferred:

? Working knowledge of ASR engines: Nuance, SRI, SpeechWork;

? Working knowledge of Boost C++ and Loki libraries;

? Working knowledge of ACE/TAO and Corba frameworks;

? Experience in a Systems Engineering role;

? Experience in a team lead role;

? Avionics and embedded systems software development;

? Knowledge of aeronautic domain;
