Job Description:

* The OneSAF Applications Team is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to work on an exciting project in the Orlando Research Park.

* This position is responsible for performing analysis, design, implementation, test and documentation of software applications for computer-based simulation systems.

* Performs software analysis and tests software specific to area of business.

* Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters to meet business requirements.

* Works on problems of moderate scope.

* Ensures project schedules and performance requirements are met.

* Contributes to the development of the organization's goals and objectives.

* May determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments.

* May provide guidance to nonexempt personnel.

* Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer groups.

Required Education:

* Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related subject required and 3+ years experience.

Required Skills:

* Thorough knowledge of coding with Java and or C/C++ with strong Object Oriented (OO) development abilities

* Discipline to work in a CMMI Level V development environment

* Must possess the superior communication skills, positive attitude and team spirit needed to succeed in an Integrated Product Team environment

* Must be able to obtain a SECRET level clearance in order to join the program

* Proven written and verbal skills

* Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software tools required.

* Should have understanding of VISIO

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of or previous experience in one or more of the following

1) Java SWING

2) Design, development, and maintenance of computer constructive or virtual simulations,

3) Implementation of physical, behavioral or entity models

4) HLA/DIS,

5) Development of SAF/CGF systems (including CCTT, ModSAF, or OTBSAF)

6) UML, XML, Together, CVS, and Linux.

 

Understanding of High Level Architecture (HLA); Semi-automated Forces technology (SAF), constructive simulation systems and software; i.e., OneSAF, modeling and simulation for military (Army) tactical/training systems, military (Army) tactical/training systems design, development and analysis; experience in writing Mil Specs for S/W within multiple domains.
