SOFTWARE LICENSING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Headquartered in Auburn, Washington, minutes south of Seattle; we are actively seeking a Software Licensing Business Development Specialist to join the Merchandising team. 

 

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION: 

 

The objective of this position is to grow software revenue within assigned team by supporting the Account Executive with support to ensure each sales opportunity closes.  The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist will work directly with the Account Executive and their customer to include order processing, recommendations on licensing programs, and renewal support.  The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist, through training, will have a complete understanding of all the Software Volume Licensing Programs in the channel and will be able to effectively communicate the requirements for a customer to obtain licenses.  The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist will help configure quotes in Ecometry, review the orders in Ecometry and manage the order process to ensure prompt qualification and work with the Account Executives and customers to ensure proper compliance and ensure all Merchandising led initiatives are executed.  The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist will work with the Outbound Representative in creating long term relationships with customers.  The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist must possess initiative and have great people and communication skills.

 

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

I. The Software Licensing Business Development Specialist will work directly with the Account Executives and their customers to include quote  configuration, order processing, recommendations on licensing programs, and renewal support.

 

II. Have a complete understanding of all the Volume License Programs

 

II. Grow software revenue for the sales team

 

IV.Work with other departments within Zones to expedite the order process for the sales team

 

V. Work with Merchandising and other departments to improve processes for Software Sales within Zones Inc.

 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR EACH OF THE ABOVE AREAS:

 

I.Meet the Service Level agreements with Sales

A.100% compliance on all Volume licensing orders to the MFR/Distributor  requirements

B.Consult with Customers to ensure they are getting the best licensing option for their needs

C.Ensure the licensing renewals are acted upon and closed with an 85% close rate.

 

II.Have a complete understanding of all the Volume License Programs

A.Attend all Volume License trainings when there are changes in the programs/ meet with Vendors for the trainings.

B.Demonstrate knowledge through the sale of Volume Licenses

C.Help develop or recommend programs/materials to increase Volume Licensing Sales

D. Train Account Executives in the requirements for each Volume Licensing Order

 

III.Effectively work with the Outbound Representatives and their customers

A. Work with Account Executive and Customers to add additional product on to orders.  (i.e. Maintenance, Software Assurance)

B. Maintain a positive relationship with the Account Executives and customers.

C. Work with the Account Executives in creating a long term relationship with customers.

D. Work with the Account Executives in understanding margin for their customers.

E.Work well in a team environment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Minimum Associate Degree, four years or College Degree preferred.  Knowledge of software products and some previous sales experience preferred.  Pleasant phone voice, good working attitude, initiative, professional, detailed oriented and willing to be a member of a hard working team.
