SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER

Tests and documents complex software programs in support of Instrument R&D automation projects. With limited supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard testing techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.

With limited frequency of supervision, documents design inputs, software development controls, and design outputs under the FDA?s QSR criteria. Develops and manages project Design History File and performs configuration management for activities under areas of responsibility. Assists in the preparation of project status reports and all technical systems documents needed in support of regulatory summations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

?  B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

?  Five or more years experience in software product testing is required.

?  Extensive knowledge of black and white box testing techniques, unit testing, integration testing, and validation.

?  Experience with configuration management and experience documenting software for FDA submissions.
