Hours per week:  40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience in the field.
3 to 5 years experience in a Production Control environment.
Extensive knowledge in JCL Language and TSO/SPF operations.
Advanced knowledge of Abend resolution techniques.
Experience utilizing software utilities such as IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, FILEAID,ABENDAID.
A complex knowledge of CA1, CA7 and CA-11 structure and functions.
Strong written and verbal skills. 

Responsibilities

Adhere and maintain department standards for all owned JCL/PROCS/CTLCDS.  Assist in supporting daily, weekly and monthly batch cycles for a multi Tier Platform.  With the support of the Level II analyst reduce business risk by ensuring that all Systems are recoverable. Assist in increasing end-user productivity resulting from increases in system availability/up time.Use Problem Management to record all hardware/software outages. Report all Critical hardware/software outages to Shift manager within the guidelines of the Escalation procedures. Use system monitoring tools with the guidance of a level II analyst to ensure all system software is functioning properly. Assist in supporting Corporate Continuity and Recovery initiatives for Disaster Recovery.  Assistance in any technical capacity required of the system staff in managing a critical situation for recovery efforts.
