Safeway.com is looking for a Microsoft SQL Server developer proficient in SQL 6.5 on WinNT, and SQL 2000 and 2005 on Windows 2000, Windows 2003. Must be team-oriented, self-managed, and resourceful. Must possess strong analytical skills. Must be methodological and be able to follow established standards and rules.
Duties will include development of complex SQL queries to drive the backend of our e-commerce applications; automate job scheduling; provide SQL debugging assistance to other teams (Central and Remote Support); heterogeneous data extraction for reporting purposes; job scheduling; DTS/ETL development in an heterogeneous environment; document of new and established processes; report writing; performance and index tuning; production administration support
Starting Salary: DOE
Scheduling: Mon-Fri (40 hrs per Week)
Minimum Requirements needed by candidate(s):</b>
- Education: BS or BA in Business or Technology
Skills/ Knowledge:
* Strong t-SQL skills
* Strong Administration skills (Backup, Restore, Replication, Log Shipping, Cluster)
* Able to write Queries, Views, SP, Triggers
* Strong understanding of Relational Modeling/Architecture
* Strong understanding of OO database modeling/Architecture
* Strong DTS/ETL skills in heterogeneous environment
* Strong SQL Analysis Services Skills
* Strong Troubleshooting Skills
* Knowledge and Expertise of Replication Models
* Team-oriented
* Detail-oriented
* Task/Process-oriented
* Self-managed
* Able to work in fast pace environment
* Able to interpret and translate business processes
* Able to multitask
* Knowledge of .NET, VBScript, JavaScript a plus
* SQL Reporting Services
