SQL DBA / Systems Programmer

POMCO is looking for an analytical and resourceful SQL DBA / Systems Programmer. 

 

Duties include:Administer SQL servers, performing all system maintenance. Create file systems, upgrades, backups, and install new software and firmware patches.Insure user connectivity, monitor system performance, and data file integrity.Develop, and troubleshoot vb6, and dot net applications, as well as transact sql.Design and develop database structures.  Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Performs system administration, VB Script desirable.Performs additional duties as required.

 

 

Requirements include:Bachelor?s degree (BA) from four-year College or university or 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.SQL certification is required.  MCSD,MCSE, CCNA, and CCA certifications desirable.Ability to apply technology solutions to business needs.Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data, identify data relationships and dependencies, design work flows and procedures.

? Ability to follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.  A self-directed individual able to take initiative.

?Must be a team player, and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
