SQL Data Analysts:  -Must have strong SQL/DTS skills! 3-4 yrs.

 

Responsibilities:Under direct supervision, oversees overall quality of client data using routine query functions. Designs and generates applicable tracking and quality reports and/or cubes to help assess the quality collection of field data. Prepares final data formats and files for use in further analytical processing by outside vendors or in house delivery teams.Participates on cross-functional teams to help design custom audits to maximize data quality.Provides thought leadership and quality improvement ideas for organization.Creates post-collection quality control specifications; programming and executing code on audit data using SQL and DTS.Monitors, analyzes, and creates audit data quality reports using a combination of statistical concepts and SQL/DTS.Ensures the final client data deliverable is accurate and supports client delivery requirements.Takes action for continuous data quality improvement; automating current quality control procedures.Tests in-house applications using software quality assurance techniques.Analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports. Designs and runs queries to extract and compile data for reports. Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience:4-year degree in Information Systems with 3-5 years formal work experience or related discipline with equivalent work experience.Ability to design and run SQL Server 2000 queries.Ability to format and generate summary, statistical, and presentation reports.Ability to verify data input and correct errors. Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications. Knowledge of structured programming, testing, and debugging techniques.Knowledge of and experience with formal software quality assurance techniques, including: test plan and test case development/execution and defect tracking and resolution processes.Project management skills/experience.Ability to see the ?big picture?; excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-techs.Self-starter and highly proactive.
