SQL Developer For Immediate Contract To Hire Opportunity

Robert Half Technology has an immediate need for a Senior SQL Developer for one of our clients in the Richmond area. This position is an opportunity to interact with the user community in order to analyze current business needs and then design, document, develop and maintain MS SQL stored procedures and DTS packages to meet those needs. Successful candidate will work on enterprise-wide projects of varying scope and technical complexity, will have 5+ years of MS SQL programming experience and one year of SQL Server 2005 SSIS experience. Responsibilities include: T-SQL programming skills, DTS package creation experience, SQL Server 2005 SSIS experience, assist with the creation of an enterprise-wide data warehouse. Exposure to DBA-type activities (backups, restores, database creation, query tuning) are beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate should have: excellent organizational and time management skills, a detail oriented approach, demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to take initiative, ability and willingness to mentor teammates, flexibility to work around tight schedules and evolving requirements. A bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of professional experience is required.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
