SR Java Developer/Architect

Length of Assignment: 6 Months

 

Project Description:

Our direct client, a rapidly growing international Fortune 500 company in White

Plains, NY is currently seeking a Senior Java J2EE Developer with Architecture

experience to play a key role in the development phase of a world-class

project. 

 

In this role you will contribute to the technical architecture of a

high-availability, scaleable distributed system,  particularly in the area of

Java J2EE SOA and Web Services. You will need to use your hands-on Java

skills to do proof-of-concept work, develope test code and test drivers and

services. 

 

The key application development skills needed are J2EE and SOA/web services

experience as well as:

 

- Extensive Server Side J2EE Development

- EJB session beans

- Websphere (v. 6)

 

- Experience with Actional is a big plus

- MQ and class diagrams are a plus

 

 

You should be able to communicate effectively and have the necessary skills to

mentor others.  You will need to be able to identify problems in the

architecture of various enterprise wide systems within a large corporation. 

You must be able to think on your feet and come up with innovative solutions to

challenging problems.  The projects here involve the latest technology that is

pushing the limits of the both the capabilities of the technology and the

developers also.  You will have a real impact in the development of these

critical systems. 

 

Successful candidates will possess minimum 8 years overall experience using

J2EE as well as outstanding understanding and exposure to enterprise wide web

services and architecture.
