Our Fortune 500 Financial Services client in SF if looking to hire a contract SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER with 6-10 years in a comparable position --- BROKERAGE OPERATIONS

DESCRIPTION:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for managing a portfolio of 8 projects to achieve the goals of the Brokerage Operations Control initiative in the Core Brokerage Solutions organization.
The individual will create project milestone plans, risks and issues lists, status reports, and follow the Unified Process methodology.

The TPM is responsible for working with teams to understand and help resolve issues, track project milestones, and communicate status.

You must have excellent communication, planning, and organization skills and be able to provide program-level oversight from project conception through delivery.

You must have proven success in working in a matrixed environment and leading technical teams.

KEY SKILLS NEEDED:
- planning, negotiating, influencing, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- must be able to communicate effectively with all levels and skill sets
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Project.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of managing large technical projects is required.
- Technical project management at a Program level is desirable.
- A strong working knowledge of the Unified Process is preferred.
- Technical acumen and broad knowledge of financial institutions technical environments is a plus.
