 JOB  RESPONSIBILITY/SUMMARY

Creates and produces high quality software for Axiom Multi-Path Host Drivers in support of  the company?s storage products. Performs both as an individual contributor and as a member of the development team. Focus of this position is to create kernel-level drivers for a variety of operating system platforms.  Provides analysis related to software design and development, and solves problems. 

 ESSENTIAL  FUNCTIONS

? Performs module level analysis and design.

? Works with Project Lead to create estimates for software implementation.

? Writes code to implement both the requirements and the approved design.

? Performs development test of code before checking into source control system.

? Participates in reviews of requirements, design, code and supporting documentation.

? Works as an effective member of a distributed development team.

? Maintains code as part of sustaining engineering after product release.

? Participates as part of interview team for new hire candidates.

? Supports other functions as needed: Test, Tech Doc and Customer Support.

 

JOB  SPECIFICATIONS

 

Minimum  Education:  Requires CS or EE Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum  Experience:  1-3 years in Storage Industry

Knowledge:  Some combination of: Kernel-level drivers, Linux, Solaris, SCSI + FC Command + Control Internals; State machine. Host to LUN Mapping, Virtualization, Dual-active controller fail-over, SCSI-controller HBA, FC-controller HBA, Brocade, MCData-Switch exp., SAN exp.- EMC, STK, HDS, McData, Controllers, Drivers, Disk, Diagnostics, Network Protocols, Clustering.Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: C Programming fully competent level 3-5 years, 2 years high-level and Low-level design of systems level software products
