SW QA Analyst

Specific duties:

 

? Communicates testing expectations to project managers and project team members;

? Helps develop the overall testing project plan and works with Director on resource issues;

? Provides direction to product development and management teams to ensure that testing plans meet quality expectations;

? Defines system test scripts and expected results;

? Creates test cases;

? Oversees system test runs, analyses, problem/defect identification and problem/defect resolution;

? Participates in the change management process with the Product Development team;

? Creates, customizes and maintains quality programs, tools and techniques;

? Tests new programs, tools and techniques for acceptability, usability, works as documented, and makes recommendations as necessary;

? Helps with the internal promotion of Software Quality Assurance principles, programs, tools, and techniques;

? Provides and maintains documentation for Software Quality Assurance procedures;

? Prepares reports and makes recommendations regarding research results, special assignments, and evaluations of new projects and services;

? Conducts research to determine the use of new data processing methods, tools and techniques which can improve customer quality and productivity;

? Complies with any applicable Product Development standards and policies;

? Keeps current with industry trends and practices within area of responsibility;

? Keeps Manager informed of activities and problems and refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to Manager for direction; and

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; two (2) to four (4) years of experience of software quality analysis and testing experience of web based applications or similar; prior experience with automated tools such WinRunner, LoadRunner, strong communication skills (both written and oral); knowledge of appropriate software tools to assist in production of deliverables (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, project management software, etc.).
