Responsibilities:
Work with the regional sales team technically representing our software products.
Present technical concepts and map customer needs to current and future product offerings.
Manage, implement, and drive proof of concepts, field trials, and pilots.
Develop responses to RFIs and prepare commercial proposals for customers.
Work with customers and partners to support ongoing sales activities.
Provide product feedback to Product Marketing and Engineering. 

Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with data base concepts, architectures, and deployments.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Windows and UNIX environments.
Experience working with Java or other OO programming languages.
Understanding of web protocols/standards/specifications ? SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, XML.
University degree in engineering or computer science.
5+ year?s pre-sales experience.
History of success in large, complex sales situations.
Highly articulate and clear speaking and writing skills; accomplished public presentation skills.
Hands-on, technical, problem solver.
Willingness to travel.
