Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant

Primary Function:
Responsible for the pre-sale demonstration (via LiveMeeting) of Enlight solutions, implementation services (installation, configuration, client training) and post-sale support of Enlight customers via email / telephone for assigned territory. A solid understanding of IT environments and an orientation towards solving customer problems is required. An ability to provide pre-sales support for Enlight sales team, to participate in customer presentations, and to address technical questions concerning product functionality is critical. Experience with Java-based applications is a big plus.

Key Business Focus / Skills Required:
A knowledge of some or all of HTML, Java, Oracle 9i, SQL, and Windows 2000/NT/XP is preferred. At least 2 years' experience solving problems for non-technical software users in a large corporation is preferable. Ability to work under pressure in customer environment, with aptitude for problem solving is key. A can-do attitude, commitment and follow-through in an environment that thrives on initiative and personal accountability is key.

 

Pre-Sale Demonstrations
Ability to support sales team in customer presentations of Enlight solutions. Good presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to articulate complex technical functionality to a non-technical audience is a requirement.

 

Training and Presentations
Ability to develop and lead technical presentations on Enlight technology to customer's technical staff or at marketing events. Ability to prepare and deliver training in a classroom or virtual setting on Enlight solutions and best practices for Enlight customers. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a key requirement.

 

Team Work
Active participation as an important member of the Enlight implementation support team in the United States. As the first line of technical support for Enlight customers a positive and patient attitude and solid interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite. A desire to work in a dynamic, fast moving environment, where the business model is always evolving to maximize Enlight's competitiveness and value proposition to customers and where your technical and client knowledge is the fundamental ingredient to our continued success.

 

Candidate Profile
Minimum 2-3 years' technical support / pre-sales experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows 2000/NT/XP environments, web-based technology and server infrastructure products (Java) and databases (SQL and Oracle). Experience working directly with customers either in a training, pre-sales, or technical support role is required. The interview process will include a technical presentation as excellent presentation skills in front of medium-sized audiences is a day-to-day aspect of this role. Experience and knowledge of e-learning and its standards is a plus. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer sciences is preferred.
