Sales Support Engineer

As a Sales Support Engineer for Pointsec Mobile Technologies you are

responsible for aiding in the support of  pre-sales engineers to potential and existing Pointsec customers.

The individual in this position must have strong technical, communication

and presentation skills, both verbal and written. The individual must be a selfstarter with strong problem solving skills.

 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Ability to assist with both pre-sales and post-sales related activities.

? Pre-sales activities include:

  - Assist to configure Pointsec products for sales related activities

  - Assist in the preparation of proposals and RFPs/RFIs.

  - Assist product development in testing new product offerings.

? Activities related to Professional Services includes:

  - Assist with troubleshooting client issues during the deployment

  - Set up the necessary environment to replicate and identify key issues during problem resolution.

  - Perform system Assessments, evaluate product configuration for various scenarios for Refinement and validation testing.

  -  Assist with Proposal Creation and Project Documentation.

  -  Aid in the documentation process of new and current products.

  -  Aid in configuration & maintenance of test lab.

  -  Aid in direct product and device testing.

  -  Document findings & processes on a daily basis.

 

Up to 20% travel possible ? must be located in the Chicago area.

 

Experience/ Skills Desired:

Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, and two or more years of Software Development and Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and security related experience.

Experience & Qualifications:

 

? Experience in a consulting environment is an asset.

? Proven discipline, teamwork and a passion for technology.

? Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills required.

? Individuals should exhibit at least 3 years professional experience working with the following platforms: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Palm OS and Novell.

? Understand topics in security related fields such as data encryption, mandatory pre-boot authentication, PKI technology, two factor authentication methods, PDA security, VPNs, and firewalls recommended..

? Experience working with Windows Server 2000, 2003 and understanding AD

? Experience with software concepts such as APIs.

? Experience with relational databases (SQL databases).

? Ability to convey product message and value proposition through

technical demonstrations, trade show demonstrations, and on site

training engagements.
