Senior Database Specialist (Oracle Applications DBA)

Job Responsibilities: Administers, maintains and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, stability, efficiency and recoverability of the company database.  Responsibilities will include implementing backup/recovery procedures, disaster recovery procedures and database and performance monitoring.  Will work closely with Application teams to plan, develop and test new releases of the Oracle application software.  Late night and weekend support of database environments required on a rotating basis.  Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager, but is expected to establish best practices and lead project teams.  Will work closely with Vendor to install new database upgrades as well as benchmark and implement all applicable maintenance patches. 

 

Accountabilities:

 
Responsible for Oracle 11i Financials and OPM Database and Patch Maintenance
Perform database backup and recovery procedures
Implement Oracle E-Business Suite upgrades and patches
Perform Database and Application performance and tuning
Clone database for application testing



Basic Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree OR Certification in Oracle Application Database Administration.
A minimum of 3 years of Oracle application experience in a large scale database environment

 

Preferred Job Qualifications

 Oracle, Siebel or Peoplesoft applications experience a plus
