Senior J2EE Developer

We have an immediate need for a Senior Level J2EE Developer for a long term contract in the Jacksonville, FL area.  Candidates must have experience with RUP methodology and rational tools, experience developing web based services and SOAP, experience applying J2EE security, Concurrency, Transactions, Session Management, J2EE Patterns, and Frameworks to application solutions, understanding of J2EE, MQ Series, IBM WSAD or RAD, Apache Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, Database, DB2, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies

 

The position also requires the following:

 

Developer II (W-2 opportunity only)

 

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
*Provide detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications and externally purchased software products
*Write code for system designs that span platforms
*Code to and create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
*Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points
*Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects
*Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications
*Support application throughout the Product Development life cycle
*Review and conduct vendor research and product gap analysis comparison

 

Job Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
 5-7 years of writing java code
*Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration
*Demonstrated experience with multiple operating systems
*Knowledge of coding design, documentation protocol, unit testing, change management and release procedures
*Demonstrated experience using debugging tools

*Demonstrated experience using Clear Case versioning tools
*Demonstrated experience using report-writing tools

*PC Skills

*IBM websphere 5.1 Portal experience

*IBM Websphere Application server 5.0 experience (Web Logic would substitute)

*Advanced Experience with RUP methodology and rational tools

*Experience developing web based services and SOAP

*Experienced applying J2EE security, Concurrency, Transactions, Session Management, J2EE Patterns, and Frameworks to application solutions 

*Understanding of J2EE, MQ Series, IBM WSAD or RAD, Apache Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, Database, Db2, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies

 

Business Specific Criteria (Preferred):
*Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology
*Healthcare Industry knowledge
