IntraISP, a River City Internet Group company located in St. Louis, MO, is a CRM/Billing/OSS software company for the communications industry. 

 

We are currently seeking a Senior Java Application Developer to join our team.  Must be

a highly motivated and enthusiastic software developer as you will be working as a key member of a team developing scalable web application services for use by clients, internal developers and 3rd party systems.  These new services will implement new functionality as well as leverage and enhance functionality from geographically dispersed 3rd party systems.

 

Candidates must have participated in the full lifecycle of at least five application implementations from requirements definition to production support.  Experience developing high-volume, clustered, fault-tolerant systems is highly desirable.  Familiarity with internationalizing applications is desirable as well.

 

ResponsibilitiesAssess customer and internal requirements for consistency and completeness before software design commences.Provide estimates and assumptions for deliverables based upon requirements.Design new application functionality based upon customer and internal requirements and communicate the designs via written specifications, diagrams and examples.Understand specifications and implement interfaces to 3rd party APIs.Develop scalable and fault-tolerant application code based upon documented designs.Functionally test newly developed application code.Maintain and support application functionality in a production environment.Communicate progress and issues with team lead, project manager and QA lead.Identify and propose enhancements to core system.Lead, teach and mentor other Java developers of varying skill levels.

 

Skills and ExperienceDemonstrable knowledge in key technologies of our architecture including: Java, Tomcat, MySQL, and JDBC.Working knowledge of Hibernate, Axis/XFire, ANT, CVS, and Linux is highly desirable.Relevant experience in designing, developing, testing and maintaining software, leveraging our core technologies.Familiarity with the Eclipse or NetBeans IDE.Ability to model software designs in a tool such as Visio.Involvement with systems utilized within the telecom industry.Ability to effectively apply OO design principles.PHP experience a plus.
