Senior Java GUI Developer

Our client is a small but very fast growing internet development company headquartered in Austin, TX.  With a customer base that is growing by the day, they need to expand their operations and product offerings and are in need of even more highly-skilled Java talent.  This is a fascinating company with a compelling story and a truly unique product.  You will work as a part of a team where figuring out new and better ways of doing things is the norm, not the exception. 

 

Here's the wish list, but if you have most of what's here, send us a resume!BSCS At least 5 years of solid UI design experience At least 5 years of Java development experience (Sun JDK 1.4 & 1.5) Significant Java Swing programming experience Java-centric build and deployment tool experience (i.e. Ant, install generators, etc.) Outstanding problem solving, OO analysis and design skills Knowledge of pattern-oriented software architecture Must be able to stay current with emerging technologies Must be able to work independently and collaborate with others as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with CORBA or other middleware (J2EE, SOAP XML) Experience with Oracle or other relational database system
