Senior Manager -Technical Program Managment

This Sr. Manager's role is to lead a team that ensures the day-to-day operational management, launch and acceptance of the various projects for which Finance Systems is involved. This includes project definition, prioritization and scheduling, status reporting, resource planning, development of business requirements, creation of functional and technical specifications, project documentation development, test plan creation and execution, acceptance criteria creation and execution, end-user training plans and delivery, effectiveness metrics and enhancement request collection and prioritization.




In addition to the project management position requirements, the program management portion of the role requires follow-up on various Finance Systems team requirements such as status reporting, project scheduling, resource coordination and hardware acquisition and operational support framework. Development of more formal and repeatable project identification, initiation and execution processes and procedures.


Areas of responsibility:


o Create, deploy and evolve a lightweight, nimble and effective engagement model for projects, project portfolios and cross-divisional initiatives.


o Build, lead and mentor as small team of TPPMs (Technical Project and Program Managers), QA (SDETs), a Tech writer and a trainer. Very effective at hiring top talent and leading them.


o Hands-on PM on key initiatives, develops and monitors project schedules


o Develops and enhances PM, test and QA, writing and training competencies in team members.


o Leads efforts to define application and reporting requirements


o Works with development managers, software engineers and other project managers on multiple projects concurrently


o Represents Finance Systems at project and program-specific meetings


o Obtains sign-off of functional and technical specifications and business requirements


o Coordinates hardware requirements with software engineers, database administrators, system administrators and procurement personnel. Prepares purchase requisition documentation


o Ensures day-to-day operations of program, including application functioning, hardware operations, performance tuning and issue resolution
