Senior Meshing Software Developer
ABAQUS, Inc. is the world's leading provider of software for advanced finite element analysis. Due to rapid adoption of the interactive ABAQUS/CAE product, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Meshing Developer to play a key role in the Geometry and Meshing Group at our Providence, Rhode Island headquarters.
Responsibilities include design, implementation, enhancement, and support of the following:
? Preparing geometry for meshing.
? Surface meshing.
? Hex meshing.
? Adaptive meshing.
? Mesh manipulation and repair.
Requirements:
? MS or PhD degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
? A minimum of 7 years of directly relevant experience.
? Demonstrated ability in implementing high-quality commercial meshing software for complex geometry.
? Expertise with computational geometry.
? In-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art meshing technologies (especially unstructured meshing).
? Proven experience with a geometric modeling kernel.
? Experience with MCAD or finite element pre-processing.
? Experience with techniques in mesh/geometry repair, simplification, or idealization.
? Highly proficient in C++ and object-oriented design.
? Effective communication skills.
? Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
