Senior .NET Developer

PCI: the data company is the leading provider of online communities and social networking applications to top-tiered, higher education institutions and leading non-profits. Our roster of clients include 20 of the top 25 schools in the nation such as Stanford, Princeton, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Georgetown. 

 

The Senior .NET Developer works to develop new features and build entirely new products with a focus on Web 2.0 functionality such as peer-to-peer networking functionality, user-generated content, and custom content tagging within an enterprise CMS/.NET platform.  This position works directly with PCI's Technical Architect and the Director of New Product Development.  This is an awesome opportunity to build killer, next-generation web applications with .NET 2.0 while working with a highly driven team.

Experience and skills:

? 3+ years of ASP.NET is a must.  Familiarity with .NET 2.0 preferred. Experience with AJAX preferred.

? 3+ years of SQL Server/Oracle with heavy TSQL and database design

? 5+ years of work experience with HTML, XML, XSL, JavaScript and CSS.  Heavy JavaScript experience preferred.

? 3+ years experience with object-oriented methodologies.  Extensive full software development life cycle experience is preferred.

? 3+ year experience designing, developing, and deploying ASP.NET applications, Windows Services, and Web Services using VB.net.

Required professional skills:

? Ability to manage time well with high degree of self-reliance.  Position will report directly to the product project manager, but mature, time-management skills are a must. Ability to review project plan milestones and commit to achieve assigned deliverables on time.  Ability to consistently meet project deadlines is a must.

? Good communication skills.  Position requires no client interaction, but developer must work well within a very positive, motivated group.

? Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Positive, can-do attitude with a constant attitude of personal ownership of projects.
