We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer. Successful candidate will provide engineering and operational network support to architect, engineer, design, implement, monitor, operate, and maintain the communications environment to meet the SLA requirements of the company. This candidate will develop industry best practice processes and procedures for engineering, and operations of communications infrastructure.



Major position responsibilities:

Architect, engineer, and implement network changes. By collecting business requirements, vendor evaluations, researching industry best practices, working with project teams and gaining consensus. Will test solutions and utilize customer focused deployment plans.

By utilizing existing tools, processes, and work to develop new tools and processes, will provide operational support for incident, problem, and/or service requests. As well as, change management in support of the communications service environment.

Meet customers, peers, suppliers and business partners to review existing communications, infrastructure performance capabilities and quality to meet and/or exceed our customer's requirements.

* Associates degree in Information Systems, Telecommunications, Math, Science or related field required

* CCIE desired, but other Cisco certifications will be considered

* ITIL or MOF, MCSE or UNIX certifications a plus

* 5+ years of Network Architecture and Engineering over 5000 node network

* 5+ years of Network Operations and support over 5000 node network

* Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing, HSRP, VSRP, VLANS, PIX, Load Balancers, or wireless

* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Network Security best practices and Carrier WAN services (DSL, VPN, OCX, Sonet, Wireless)

* Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple and complex projects

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Require knowledge of advanced troubleshooting methods
