3H Technology's Homeland Security Solutions Division is seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to work at the Washington, DC location. Location is metro accessible.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: Senior System Database Administrator (DBA) to lead large enterprise databases in Washington, DC area as part of a 24/7 production DBA team. This position conducts database administration on Unix AIX for test, development and production databases, including Oracle RAC, installation and configuration, partition maintenance, backup and restore/recovery, and database performance monitoring and tuning. Note: 24/7 environment is handled with a rotating pager that each team member carries for one week every 8-10 weeks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: B.S. in Computer Science, engineering, or related technical discipline. 9+ years of extensive, directly applicable experience may substitute for the academic degree requirement to include 5 years of experience in a multi-instance Unix environment with hands-on experience with PL/SQL. - 5 years of experience in a UNIX operating system environment. - 5 years of experience in Oracle (8i/9i/10g) database administration. - Ability to lead and to work productively in a fast-paced and complex environment involving multiple contractors. - U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance. DESIRE SKILLS: IBM AIX UNIX systems administration and maintenance experience are highly desirable. Experience with SQL Server is highly desirable.
