Senior Principal S/W Engineer

Job Description: Support NGA's GeoScout Block 2 development. This is the integration of COTS products and custom software. In general the project is to transform NGA's collection of largely independent systems and databases into a modernized, integrated geospatial intelligence enterprise to provide more accurate, timely and relevant GeoSpatial Intelligence.

Position requires ability to work with minimal supervision and provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills - 10 plus years of experience in the following:
-Experience with all phases of Software Development,
-Experience with Object Oriented development methodology,
-J2EE development experience,
-Experience developing software that accesses Oracle data bases (10g),
-Experience developing documented processes for software development (CMMI level 3),
-Experience preparing material and briefing large audiences,
-Experience with Microsoft Project,
-Experience leading moderate to large teams,
-Experience collecting metrics to track progress,
-TS/SCI clearance - existing

Desired Skills:
-NGA workflow and production processes experience,
-Experience with Single Sign On Applications (Integrating Role Based Access and User Profile Services),
-Experience developing in Widows and Unix environements,
-Experience with RSA's ClearTrust product,
-Experience with Oracle E-Busines (Oracle 11i),
-Experience with Popkin's System Architect,
-Experience with Business Process Modeling Notation,
-Experience with Web Logic Application Server development,
-Experience with DoDAF (or similar System/Software/Data architect experience),
-Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, (SOA),
-COTS integration experience,
-Experience with Clearcase,
-Experience building Web Pages (Human Machine Interface),
-Experience using Microsoft Project.

Required Education(including Major):
-BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
