SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER Job Description?

 

Summary

Responsible for identifying and translating client product needs, and driving internal resources to meet needs accordingly.  Emphasis is on managing multiple large projects independently.  Ability to prioritize work based on clear understanding of business needs.  Will have a significant role in completing product design, developing product specs, and testing products.  Coordinate closely with senior members of team and other departments.  Coordinate with Client Service department on presentations to clients and coordinate completion of training materials.

 

Essential Functions and Qualifications

? Bachelor?s Degree (Advertising, MIS or Computer Science preferred)

? At least 5 years experience in Advertising Industry or Rep firm

? At least 5 years in product development and design or systems analyst experience

? Must possess a positive attitude and be a high energy self starter

? Ability to take initiative and work independently

? Must possess creative problem solving skills; Ability to think ?outside the box?

? Will take risks to the appropriate degree

? Enjoy learning and seeking new knowledge

? Have a customer focus

? Be flexible and open to change

? Ability to mentor team members

? Demonstrated relationship building skills both w/internal & external clients

? Solid interpersonal communications skills ? oral & written ? including ability to listen and interpret client needs; Communicates well with clients, internal customers, manager, and team members

? Demonstrated Project Management skills (including developing specs, status reporting, issues escalation, resourcing)

? Demonstrated experience interacting with senior level media or product development executives (i.e., Media Director, Broadcast Director, etc.)

? Must be proficient and comfortable with various PC software and operating systems.  Must possess ability to quickly   master new applications, must have worked on other similar systems in-depth

? Ability to suggest improvements to existing processes and/or products

? Should be able to analyze and evaluate feature requests, coordinate prioritization of features list

? Exhibit mastery of overall company standards: e.g., DDS interface standards, Windows standards

? Build effective relationships with Programmers, technical writers on team and with other internal resources

? Expert level knowledge in at least one DDS system

? Prior management experience a plus
