Senior QA Analyst - QA/CM Fanatic - Contract to Perm

As the Senior QA Analyst based in Austin, TX you will be responsible for implementing effective Quality Assurance and Configuration Management by preparing project Configuration Management Plans, processes and procedures for configuration identification, baseline management, change control, status accounting and configuration audits.  Duties include implementation of standard Configuration Management practices to include; change control, version control, release management and Configuration Management audits of software, hardware and documentation items.  As part of the Quality Assurance process this individual will develop, perform and document test procedures to confirm software product functionality and integrity; report problems encountered, and document results of tests for follow-up; and ensure that the software development schedule is maintained for all assigned projects. The Senior QA Analyst will also establish and maintain software and hardware test environments.

Requirements:

 5+ years relevant work experience Strong QA methodology, process, and technical leadership, knowledge of Configuration Management best practices and techniques Professional communication skills, both written and verbal Strong experience with all aspects of software testing, particularly web based application testing, script / scenario development, regression testing, etc. Experience with a version control tool, such as PVCS, SourceSafe, etc. Fluent in Mercury's WinRunner, Load Runner, and Test Director applications Proven ability to write and execute test plans and automated test scripts Ability to rapidly switch between multiple tasks and manage priorities
