The Senior QA Engineer must have extensive experience delivering quality enterprise software solutions. This position involves working closely with cross functional teams within the engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, innovation, and lateral thinking skills.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

? Implement and execute SQA processes used to validate n-tier web applications.

? Ability to work with vertical teams to define and implement processes and minimum acceptable criteria for the release within the QA group

? Interface with Professional services, customer support and hosted solutions group on a frequent basis and setup customer deployment scenarios

? Ability to define, implement and maintain time and cost effective QA lab plan

? Work closely with Development/Product Analyst groups and evangelize the acceptable criteria set for functions from within the QA organization

? Defines and maintains operational checklist and QA phase completion checklist and enforce them

? Ability to define cost and time effective test strategies identify and review test plans/test cases/testing results and ensure documents are updated.

? Ability to identify a QA strategy for customer reported issues and work with other teams to resolve them in a timely and cost effective manner.

? Ability to derive patterns from customer reported issues and implement process improvements to fix the root cause of issues

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

? 5+ years experience testing web-based enterprise product solutions

? 4+ years experience developing test strategies, test plans and test cases starting with just an engineering requirements or functional specification.

? 2+ years experience interfacing with customers directly or with groups interfacing with customers

? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

? Strong problem-solving ability, customer focus, analytical, interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills

? Coding experience with C# and exposure to .Net platform is required

? RDBMS knowledge and working experience with SQL or Oracle is required

? Ability to program and debug HTML or JavaScript, Perl or other programming/scripting languages is a plus.

? BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
