- 3 years of experience as a Senior Tech Support or QA Engineer or Sustaining QA / Engineering background - Detailed experience from L1 to L3 in Ethernet and IP, VLANs, multiple routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc), VRRP (or proprietary equivalents)- Experience working on Linux embedded systems a plus- Must be self-motivated team player who can see problems through to resolution and closure and function without management supervision.- Experience in LAN/WAN router/ switch environment. Knowledge and experience with Ixia or Spirent traffic generators and Protocol Analyzers- B.S./M.S. in engineering



Sustaining support and test engineer for L1/L2/L3/L4 features on Extreme Networks products. Candidate will be expected to work with external and internal customers to troubleshoot and replicate complex problems originating from a broad customer base. Candidate must be able to grasp and understand field reported problems quickly and provide workarounds and drive appropriate resolutions from internal resources to the customer. Candidates must be able to adapt to new technology on a broad front on fast moving features and product lines, and retain and remember old historical knowledge of issues over time. Candidate should be able to provide constructive feedback to drive a process of continual improvement of core quality assurance processes, test cases and test scenarios.
