Senior Software Analyst
PROGRAMMER/ANALYST who will develop automation tools in support of 730 ACSG processes at WR/ALC. Under minimum supervision, plans, conducts, and provides leadership for a variety of programming/software assignments in the development of custom software products. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and concepts of a particular field of programming/software specialization to the solution of difficult assignments. Assignment will be in one or more of the following areas, such as, gathering requirements, documenting design/requirements/test plan, designing databases, and developing custom software solutions for supply, engineering and related markets. Will provide general training and give presentations to all levels. Assignments require originality, ingenuity and the use of independent judgment. Frequent contacts inside and outside of the Company. May be a group leader and/or provide technical guidance to support programming/software personnel at lower levels. May recommend major technical or procedural policies. The Company reserves the right to change duties as requirements dictate.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Special Skills): Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 or more years of applicable experience. Must have: strong analytical, organizational and research skills and the proven application of such to distinguish and consolidate technically compatible applications through the ALC; strong oral and written communication skills including the capability to convey technical requirements and integration strategies to management via presentations and written documents. Highly Desired: Broad knowledge of software development practices (such as CMM and CMMI), tools, architectures and industry trends. Desired: Experience in database design and programming on Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle (DDL, Stored Procedures, and Relational Database Design), Web Services, SOAP, XML, .NET, and Visual Basic. Basic knowledge of network/server administration, SW QA and CM processes/practices. Basically, a Programmer/developer with web development and client development skills, including experience with the following: ASP, HTML, Visual Studio Suite, Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Office Suite, data integration tools/techniques, screen scraping techniques and Middleware, SQL language, Oracle and MS-SQL Server databases. Basic system administration skills a plus. US Citizen.
