Senior Application Developer:

 

This position on our core system development team will afford an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to participate in the design and development of the trading engine components and software to bridge the engine to various exchanges worldwide.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

-  Interface with product management and expert users to capture needs

-  Participate in application architecture, design, development, and testing

-  Prototype proposed solution to validate architecturally significant elements

-  Develop extensible, high performance, high availability service applications under .NET

-  Interface with framework and engine developers to implement a composite solution

 

 Education

 

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field

 

 Experience

 

3+ years experience developing commercial application software

 

 Required skills

 

-  3- 5 Years experience with C++/C# in a Microsoft development environment

-  Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and extensive knowledge of the .NET Framework

-  Experience with Microsoft Component Object Model (COM/COM+)

-  Experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server and ADO/ADO.NET)

-  Web-based application development

-  Ability to evaluate and employ appropriate tools and technologies

-  Strong analytical and problem solving skills

-  Strong team player

-  Must be able to think outside the box and account for the big picture

 

 Adjunctive skills

 

-  Experience with brokerage or financial applications

-  Experience with SOA

-  Experience with software development practices such as Unified Process and Agile

-  Familiarity with Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol
