Senior Software Developer - Electronic/Program Trading NY $ 180,000

Large Investment Bank has just put out a brand new mandate for a Senior Software Developer to join their Electronic/Program Trading business.

You will be responsible for both the technical architecture and coding of the system. This will include the design, development and integration of server side applications to include messaging middleware, order management, real-time market data and analytics frameworks. You will also design and implement API's for interfacing trading strategies as well as developing analytical services to support the strategies. The right candidate for this role will have strong C++ Development skills with at least 4 Years commercial experience. Detailed knowledge is required with IPC mechanisms, event-driven and multithreaded systems programming and STL (Standard Template Library). Strong object-oriented design skills and knowledge of design patterns required as is experience developing on Solaris/Linux operating systems. It is essential that you have a working knowledge of equities/electronic trading business. Prior experience developing automated/quantitative/program trading or equity order management systems strongly preferred. The eventual candidate for this role will also hold a Bachelors in a relevant subject with a good GPA.
